Trashy Bags to keep stadiums clean

Accra, Jan. 12, GNA- Trashy Bags Limited, a waste management and recycling company would deploy its workers to the various stadia hosting Ghana 2008 to ensure that they are cleaned up to maintain good sanitation. Mr Kwabena Osei-Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of the company said this at a clean-up exercise in Accra on Saturday, to rid the city of filth before the start of Ghana 2008 and also to create awareness on the need for the communities to observe good hygiene.

The Company was joined by some Keep Fit Clubs to desilt choked gutters and cleared weeds along the Tetteh Quarshie -Legon Road. Mr Osei-Bonsu said as Ghana was hosting the tournament, everything must be done to ensure that the country was kept clean. He said with good hygiene, Ghanaians could reduce the huge cost involved in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). The Chief Executive said the company recycles plastic waste and had employed more than 300 youth. The Keep Fit clubs, which undertook the exercise, were the Anointed, El-Wak, and Vols clubs.
