Designer Okudzeto arrested over Nations Cup logo

Celebrated Ghanaian designer Mawuli Okudzeto has been arrested by the Ghana Police for producing clothes with the logo of the 2008 African Cup of Nations without permission.

The LOC of the tournament, which starts in January, reported Okudzeto to the police after the goods were reported to have been sold in public.

The designer confirmed the news and said his arrest on Wnednesday night by the police was prompted by the LOC.

"I was invited to a police station where I met the LOC officials who made the complaint against me," Okudzeto said.

"I don't want to comment any further as it might jeopardize the investigations to be carried out."

He is expected to report back at the police station On Thursday.
