IPMC to sponsor Greater Accra Hockey League

Accra, Nov. 18, GNA - Ghana would for the first time host the 2009 African Clubs Hockey Championship.

Mr Oko Nikoi Dzani, Chairman of the Ghana Hockey Association (GHA) announced this in Accra on Saturday, when IPMC presented a cheque of 10,000 Ghana Cedis (100 million cedis) as part of the sponsorship package for the Greater Accra Hockey League for the year 2008 and 2009. He commended the company for the gesture and said the sponsorship had come at the right time since the Association was facing a lot of challenges including financial constraints.

Mr Nikoi Dzani commended the company for responding promptly to their request and called on other corporate bodies to come to the aid of the Association to enable it execute its projects to be better placed to host a successful competition next year.

Mr Amar Deep S. Hari, Chief Executive Officer of IPMC said his company would extend their sponsorship packages to the other regions of the country to support the development of sports nation-wide. 18 Nov. 07
