Beijing08 Decider: Siasia Gets FA support

NFA chairman, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi has assured players and officials of the Olympic team of the FA's support as the continue preparations for the crunch match against Ghana on Friday.

Lulu addressed the players on arrival from Brazil where he went to watch the Beach Soccer World Cup.

"We may not have millions of naira to offer you but I assure you that the entire nation is behind you as you go for this battle, and please do not relent until the ninety minutes are over. You must be alert and give your all for the entire duration of the match, and I am very sure that an appreciative nation will shower you with goodies," Lulu Abdullahi said.

The FA boss said he is confident the Olympic Eagles can get a win and guarantee a place at the Olympics in China next year summer.

"I have faith in this team, the players and the technical crew, and I have faith in the Nigerian spirit. We never say die. I know it is going to be tough because the Ghanaians are also tough, but we have the ability, temperament and determination to win the match and give Nigerians joy."

Ghana have six points and Nigeria four, but the Black Meteors are playing their last game of the campaign on Friday while Nigeria still have another match against South Africa's Amaglug-glug.
