Media seminar for Ghana 2008

Accra, Oct 31, GNA - The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nations is to organise a seminar of media personnel in pursuance of its scheme of building the capacity of the press as a legacy for the tournament. The seminar to be held in collaboration with Sportfive, media and marketing right holders for the tourney is slated for the Miklin Hotel, Accra on Thursday, November 15. The one-day seminar, which is to be sponsored by Sportfive will be a two-fold event.

Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the LOC told technical men and producers from broadcasting companies. He said Sportfive is also committed to as part of the contract to arrange for a team made up of the representative of all the six local television stations to be attached to TV production teams during their coverage of European matches to adequately prepare Ghana's television outfits for the use of facilities such as OB Vans and other facilities at the stadia during and after the tourney. Rex Danquah advised media houses to forward the names of two of their representatives for the seminar to the LOC's secretariat latest by Wednesday, November 7.
