Tour d'Accra fixed for November 25

Accra, Oct. 26, GNA - The 2007 edition of the Tour d'Accra Cycling race has been fixed for Sunday, November 25, 2007. The event would for the first time be sponsored by TT Brothers Limited, distributors of Tango and Pure Joy fruit juices. Mr Emmanuel Anann, Chairman of the Greater Accra Cycling Association told the GNA Sports that about 80 cyclists, including participants from some neighbouring West Africa countries are expected to partake in the event.

He explained that the race would start at 9:00 am at Maracuja House, Nungua through Trade Fair, Burma Camp Junction, Giffard Road, Kawo-kudi junction, Dimples Junction, Achimota Overpass, Abeka Lapaz and Mallam Junction.

The riders will continue from Mallam Junction through Kaneshie, Obetsebi Lamptey Circle, Korle Bu Hospital, Latebiokorshie, Mortuary Road, Graphic Road, Stadium, Osu - La main road and back to the Maracuja House.
