Three remanded for thefts at Essipong Stadium

Sekondi, June 28, GNA- A Sekondi district magistrates' court on Monday remanded three persons into prison custody for their alleged involvement in the thefts at the Essipong Sports stadium. Their pleas were not taken.

They are Eric Amoako Quaicoe, Eugene Ebo Mensah and Abdul Abass Mohammed.

They would re-appear before the court on July 3. Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Joseph Hedidor told the court that the suspects were arrested on June 22 after series of items had been stolen from the site.

He asked the court to adjourn to enable the Police to do further investigations. 28 June 07
