Pompay To Break Club Transfer Record For Muntari

Redknapp Impressed By Ghanaian

Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari looks set for the summer switch to Harry Redknapp’s Portsmouth, according to the Ghanaian international’s agent.

Pompey were linked with the 22-year-old Muntari during January transfer window as Redknapp had been impressed by his showing at last summer’s World Cup in Germany.

Pompey are reportedly preparing to break the club transfer record for the £6million-rated box-to-box player.

Agent Stefano Antonelli told The News: "Udinese have already finished negotiating with Portsmouth and with my help he will go to them.

"The only thing remaining is the conclusion of some personal details between the player and Portsmouth. We will meet soon and there should be no problems."
