Arsenal keep tabs on Barusso

... Auction for him in January?
Arsenal are keeping tabs on Rimini midfielder Ahmed Apimah Barusso.

The youngster, who turns 22 on Thursday, has been outstanding and a key man in Rimini's push into the top three of Serie B, and his all-action displays have attracted interest from Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Udinese.

Italian media reports today state Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also aware of Barusso's growing reputation and is keeping tabs on the midfielder.

However, Wenger revealed today that he will not be making any moves in the transfer market when the next transfer window opens in January. Wenger is happy with the squad he already has, and has stated his refusal to make any changes until the summer.

Italian Serie A side, Messina, have also expressed interest in the midfielder "We would love to sign Ciro Barusso from Rimini. But the way he is playing I fear there'll be an auction for him in January."

Barusso's contract with Rimini is until 2010.
