Cudjoe vows to retain title against Lante Addy

Accra, Oct. 21, GNA - Galley Cudjoe, national bantamweight boxing champion insists he will remain the champion after meeting Lante Addy of Attoh Quashie gym in a title fight on Fight Night Two of the Men Only Boxing Championship billed for the Lebanon House at Tudu in Accra on Saturday, Octiber 28.

'I respect Lante Addy but he does not have what it takes to snatch my title away from me,=94 the champion said in an interview with and was delighted that the chance had finally come for him to prove to Ghanaians that he deserved a shot at the continental title.

"I want to win bigger belts and my fight with Lante will confirm my status as a boxer with the potential to win the ABU, the Commonwealth and world titles."

Galley said he was psyched up for the fight and asked his opponent to train very hard so that the fans would enjoy a good fight. The champion, who has fought 14 times, winning 11, three by way of knockout, drawing two and recording only a single loss said the only blemish in his record was 'a mistake' and there was no boxer on the continent, who could stain his record anymore.

He said his only problem was managerial and called on well meaning boxing enthusiasts and managers to come to his aid, adding that who ever teams up with him will reap the benefits of such investment.
