C/R Division Two League to start on Oct. 29

Cape Coast, Oct, 16 GNA - The Central Region Division Two soccer league would kick off on Sunday, October 29, 2006.

The decision for the take-off of the League was taken at a meeting organized by the Regional Football Association for representatives of the participating clubs at the week-end at Cape Coast. Mr Matthew Doe, Chairman of the Regional Football Association said 24 Clubs have so far registered to participate in the League and appealed to the participating clubs to educate their supporters to comport themselves during the competition.

He warned that clubs whose supporters misbehave during matches of the competition would be sanctioned and the culprits prosecuted. Mr Doe said the registration of players would close on October 20 and urged Clubs that have not as yet registered to do so immediately without fail.
