Division One: Dwarfs beat Samatex

Cape Coast, Oct. 2 GNA - A 13th minute goal by midfielder, Jojo Amporful of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs enabled them to beat Samartex 1-0 in their Division One League match at Robert Mensah stadium on Sunday.

After Accra based Referee Jonathan Tetteh signaled the two teams into action it was Dwarfs who attacked first and dictated the pace and it came as no surprise when in the 13th minute, Amporful collected a midfield pass to score what turned out to be the match winner. The second half of the game saw Samartex on the war path, as they outplayed Dwarfs and twice came close to scoring in the dying minutes, but outside left, Akwasi Tawiah shot over the bar.

Results of other matches were, Wise/Fighters beat Windy Bay Professionals 1-0, Venomous Vipers drew Odupong Heroes 0-0 with Metro Stars also drawing 0-0 against Tarkwa United.
