Olympics name new Board Secretary

Accra, July 26, GNA 96 Accra Great Olympics have appointed Mr John Kobina Essel Edzie, Assistant Editor of the Council for Law Reporting and a Senior Lecturer at the Ghana Law School as the new Board Secretary.

His appointment, which takes immediate effect, is sequel to the appointment of the former Board Secretary, Mr Richard Oblitei Solomon, as Ghana's Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea.

Mr Edzie also replaces Mr Solomon as an Alternate Director of Great Olympics for six months commencing August 1, 2006.

A letter dated July 25 and signed by Mr Solomon said the appointment of Mr Edzie was 93pursuant to regulation 65 of the club's Regulations involving Part II of the second Schedule of the Companies Code 1963, Act 179 and a resolution of the Board of Directors.
