Nyarko can take his Premiership pick

FRANCE (goalnetwork) -- Alex Nyarko, the Ghana midfielder, did not manage to speak French after two full season playing for Lens. Now he can happily carry on talking in English because three Premiership clubs are on his trail.

Everton, Manchester City and West Ham are all keen to spend $7million on Nyarko and First Division Fulham, coached by Frenchman Jean Tigana, are also in the wings.

Nyarko is on his way because he made little impression on new Lens coach Rolland Courbis who told the team after a friendly defeat by Rennes: "As long as I am in charge of Lens, Nyarko will not play for the first team again."

Nyarko, signed from German club Karlsruhe, was once a target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. If Wenger does manage to sign striker Sylvain Wiltord, Bordeaux have already identified a possible replacement. He is Emile M?Penza, the Belgian international currently seeking a move from German club Schalke.
