Barclays Golf tees off at Achimota Golf course

Accra, May 15, GNA - This year's Barclays Bank Ghana Limited Eagle Open Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, May 20.

Mr Kwame Saarah-Mensah, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Sunday, said about 150 golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs are expected to participate in the One-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition.

He said the entry qualification for the Men is Handicap 18 while the Ladies with Handicap 24 may also play at Handicap 18.

Among the golfers who had registered for the competition to be played under the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club includes Michael Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club, Jacob Aryee, Albert Brock, Victor Danku and Michael Aggrey.

Eight prizes would be given in the Men's category while five goes to the Ladies. Mrs Margaret Mwanakatwe, Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited would present trophies to the winners. 14 May 06
