Leverkusen picked up a third win on the run to stay in with a chance of making the UEFA Cup next season. Mathew Amoah played the full 90min for Dortmund.

MAINZ 0-0 HANOVER 96
Mainz climbed another point towards safety and all but ended Hanover hopes of European football next term. Hanover had the better chances but had no luck in front of goal. Otto Addo played the full game.

COLOGNE 3-0 VfL WOLFSBURG
Cologne scored three times in four minutes in the second half to revive their hopes of avoiding the drop and drag Wolfsburg closer to trouble. Matthias Scherz broke the deadlock in the 77th minute, turning in on the rebound after the keeper had parried Lukas Podolski's effort. A minute later Patrick Helmes guided in a shot from the edge of the area and a headed own goal from Hans Sarpei sealed Cologne's win.

PAINSTIL SETS DERBY RECORD
John Painstil chalked another milestone,when his club Hapoel Tel-Aviv beat Maccabi Tel-Aviv 2-0 in an Israeli derby league match yesterday. He thus become the only player both foreign and local in their league to be on the winnig side of six(6) out of seven(7) derby matches in Israel.

Painstil was instrumental in both goals. One of his numerous moves resulted in a penalty and was expertly converted by team captain Simon Gusion in the 44th minute of the 1st half.He was also involved in the second goal scored by Shay Abrobro in the 71st minute of the game.

Not surprisingly John Painstil was voted the most valuable player (MVP) of the match.

Sammy Adjei played 90 minutes for Ashdod. Adjei was excellent and had his best game since he came to israel.
