MP organises Independence Soccer Gala

Accra, March 2, GNA - Hon. Nii Amasah Namoale, Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon is organising a soccer gala as part of activities marking Ghana's 49th independence anniversary celebrations. The tournament code-named the Mps Anniversary Gala will bring together 14 teams in the constituency to compete for honours. According to the MP all participating clubs would receive a set of jerseys, while the winning team and the runners up would settle for cash awards and the MPs Anniversary Cup.

In addition prizes would be awarded for best player, best goalkeeper, most disciplined club of the tournament and the goal king award.

Meanwhile, a number of competing teams have plunged into serious training to prepare towards the tournament. First Gate Club led by their coach Ayitey Atongo Pizzaro and captain Evans Lomotey have gone into a secret camp on the Akwapim mountains for their preparations towards the tournament, which they have vowed to win at all cost.
