Zylofon Media buys Rainbow Football Club

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has bought Rainbow Football Club in Kumasi Ghanacrusader.com understands.

According to an insider, ”The club [Rainbow FC] has been acquired by Mr. Appiah Mensah of Zylofon Media. He bought it a few weeks ago and we will be moving to Accra this morning [Monday].”

The young businessman bought the club after the death of Nana Acheampong, the founder of the club who died in 2017 after gaining promotion to the Division one League.

The Kumasi-based club secured qualification to Ghana’s second-tier league following a 1-0 win over Shooting Stars in the Division two league in the Ashanti Region.

It is reported that the name of the club will be changed from Rainbow FC to Stars Madrid FC and the whole technical team will be moved to the capital.

Nana Appiah Mensah is a Ghanaian enterpreneur who owns a number of businesses across the country including Menzgold Ghana Co. Limited, Brew Marketing Consult Co. Limited and Brew Realty Company Limited.
