WASSCE Supervisors advise students to study.

Tema, May 10, GNA- Supervisors of the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Tema have urged students to desist from depending on fake questions papers and concentrate on their studies.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday, they said the habit of students neglecting their studies and running after fake questions papers has never turned out well for them since at the end those questions elude them during examinations.

Mr Ebenezer Pobee, Assistant Supervisor in charge of the Chemu Secondary School examination centre noted that "Students must always stick to their books as that is the surest way of passing their examinations".

He said the African Advance Secondary School and Desk Secondary School had a total of 927 candidates sitting at the centre, with Chemu Secondary presenting 628 candidates.

Mr Pobee said out of the total, five were absent from African Advance and two from Chemu SS.

Tema Secondary School registered a total of 544 candidates and Datus Secondary School 124, who were all present for the examination at the two centres.

At Our Lady of Mercy (OLAM) Secondary Schools, all the 254 registered candidates made up of 130 boys and 124 girls showed up for the examination.

Even though there were no incidents at all the four centres, Mr Prosper Ashiagbor, Assistant Head in charge of Administration of OLAM Secondary said one of the candidates got involved in an accident on her way home after the first paper.
