Spain forward of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams, is one of 10 players shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d'Or prize from the Spanish La Liga.

The Athletic Club forward's nomination comes after his outstanding performance for Spain at the 2024 European Championship, a display that helped La Roja clinch the trophy.

In addition to that, Nico Williams was also exceptionally good for Athletic Club in the 2023/24 football season, helping the team lift the Copa del Rey trophy.

The other players from La Liga nominated for this year's Ballon d'Or award include Lamine Yama, Jude Bellingham, Dani Olmo, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and retired Toni Kroos.
