Yammin tips Satellites for title

Deputy Sports Minister Joseph Yammin has predicted that Ghana will avenge the defeat inflicted on them by France in the Group stage, and go ahead to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

France thrashed Ghana 3-1 in the group stage of the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey, and today, they face the Black Satellites again in the first semi final match of the U-20 World Cup.

Hon. Yammin believes the Black Satellites have now rediscovered their top form to beat France and progress to the grand finale.

The Deputy Minister of Sports who is currently on official duty in Korea told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS on phone that “Ghana will beat France.”

According to him, a slight mishap resulted in the two defeats Ghana suffered to France and Spain.

Hon. Yammin said Ghana has the best team in the tournament so the Black Satellites would advance to the finals at the expense of France.

“We are a step away from repeating the 2009 magic,” he noted, adding that he was impressed by the fighting spirit of the Satellites against Chile on Sunday.

Hon. Yammin also predicted that players in the Satellites would soon progress into the Black Stars, stressing, “Ghana has a strong future Black Stars in the making.”
