YFM Sports Team on Wednesday launched the second edition of ‘Y Sports Hood Games’ event with the aim of bringing young people together and to promote sports among the youth.

The event, being organised by the YFM Sports team is slated for November 30 at the Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon, in Accra.

The Y Sports Hood Games is a competition that would see various neighbourhoods in the Greater Accra Region compete in a number of exciting sporting activities including 5-aside football, swimming, table tennis, and basketball.

Mr William Nanka-Bruce, General Manager of YFM, noted that Y Sports Hood Games would be held twice every year.

“Bringing our fans together off air for fun activities is one thing YFM is very passionate about. As a station for the youth, we see this event as a great opportunity for us to connect, interact, and bring out the sporting talents in the various neighbourhoods in Accra,” he said.

Mr Nanka-Bruce noted that winners at the end of the event would be given special prizes and souvenirs from sponsors and would also have the opportunity to play a football match with the YFM Sports team.
