Who goes to Brazil on Glo ticket?

Road shows for Glo Mobile Ghana’s ‘Let’s Go to Brazil’ promotion which hands out 25 all-expense-paid tickets to Ghanaians to go to Brazil for the World Cup stormed through three regional capitals over the weekend in the company’s attempt to ensure that the majority of Ghanaians get a fair chance of being selected for the sponsored fun trip.

According to a Glo Mobile Ghana press statement, at Kumasi, large numbers of soccer fans not previously on the Glo network besieged officials at the road show, demanding to be registered instantly to enable them participate in the promo, while at Cape Coast and Takoradi, youthful customers keyed up by the offer of an all-paid trip to Brazil, simply followed the road show and danced about in excitement. Glo, an accomplished promoter of sports in Africa and the headline sponsor of the prestigious annual CAF Awards, announced at the launch in Accra of the ‘Let’s Go to Brazil Promo’ on February 11th that it will take up the full cost of travel, accommodation and stadium access for 23 Ghanaians on its network and two of its best trade dealers.

Under this 90-day promo, any Glo subscriber in the country could be one of the 23 lucky winners but must first be able to recharge their lines by a minimum of GH¢15.00 between March 11 and May 31, 2014 to qualify for selection for the trip.

‘’Every soccer-loving Ghanaian is eligible to go to Brazil to cheer the national team and experience the thrills of this historic event. Our promo gives everyone that rare opportunity, but to qualify for selection, one must at least be a subscriber of the Glo network and must have recharged his or her phone at a minimum of GH¢15.00 by May 31,’’ Mr. Kayode Mobolade of Glo’s Events and Sponsorships Unit told reporters in Takoradi during the Western Region phase of the road show.
