We won’t let Ghana down – Asamoah pledges

Italian Serie A winner, Kwadwo Asamoah says he together with his team-mates have come too far training wise, ahead of the World Cup qualifier to let the nation down.

The Black Stars began training in Accra last Monday and though coach Kwasi Appiah did not get a full house, the exercise progressed steadily by the day.

Based on the three-day intensive rehearsals, Asamoah is convinced the team has got to its peak in terms of exercising to keep their third successive World Cup dream on course.

Asamoah, in a post training interview, stated that “looking at how we have trained so far, there is every indication that we are on course. We won’t let Ghana down we have resolved to do all we can to make Ghana and ourselves proud.”

The team left the country at midday yesterday and are expected to pitch camp in Ethiopia where they would depart to face Sudan next Saturday, June 8 in Khartoum.

Thereafter, they would travel to South Africa on June 9 for four days. They would walk to Maseru to battle Lesotho in their second-in-a-row World Cup qualifier a week later.
