Anthony Commey coach of New Edubiase United has said they will learn from their opening day defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium insisting that this setback will not harm their confidence for the rest of the season.

Hearts of Oak won the game 1-0 as the much awaited Ghana Premier League finally got underway last weekend.

Samuel Yeboah scored the only goal of the game for the Phobians.

But Coach Commey said he was satisfied with the output of his charges on the day as they came up against a Hearts of Oak side that had so much to lose if they had lost the game.

“We will put the setback behind us as quickly as possible and look ahead to our next game at home,” he said at the post-match press conference.

New Edubiase United lost a few of their best players during the last transfer window, but Coach Commey insisted that that did not affect their performance on the day.

“We have some new boys in the squad, and, as the season wore on, you will begin to see how we integrate them into our plans,” he stated, adding that they have no fears about their premiership survival since Ghana football is unpredictable.
