Bruce Mwape, head coach of the Zambian female national team, has said, the Shepolopolo are ready to beat South Africa, in their final Group B game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, 24th November, 2018.

Mwape, at a pre-match conference noted that, it was important his team maintained a high momentum going into the crucial game, as they seek to make it to the next round of the ongoing African Women’s cup (AWCON) 2018.

“We haven’t lost confidence in camp despite losing to Nigeria, we are focused on our next game and hoping to get a win against South Africa. “My girls expressed themselves accordingly when we played against Equatorial Guinea and we had a good win, which was good”.

According to him, his full backs got out of position which gave Nigeria the chance to score three goals in the second game, but they have worked on that and without any injury concerns and suspensions, the Shepolopolo would beat South Africa and qualify for the next round.

The Shepolopolo beat Equatorial Guinea by 5:0 in the first Group B match and lost to Nigeria by 4:0 as South Africa also beat Equatorial Guinea by 7:1 before beating Nigeria by 1:0.

A draw could get South Africa through to the second stage of the 11th biennial tournament as they top Group B with six points from two games, with Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria all on three points.
