Former Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful has warned the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to find a lasting solution to the verbal war going on between them else Ghana will miss out on the 2018 world cup
The two institutions have been at logger heads in the past few months with most sports personalities calling for a ceasefire.
Arhinful in an interview with Asempa FM averred that we risk missing out on a fourth successive world cup if the impasse between the Ministry and the FA doesn’t cease.
“We may not qualify if this doesn’t end. The media war between the Association and Ministry must cease if we want to qualify. We have to look at the common interest rather than fighting”.
Augustine Arhinful further on admonished sports journalists to desist from interviewing the two parties as a way in solving the problem
The team is currently in Tamale preparing for a crucial game against Uganda tomorrow
