The Vice-President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has revealed that the FA is still talking to corporate entities in a bid to find a sponsors for the league.
The second round of the Ghana Premier league have already started with no sponsorship. First Capital Bank pulled out their sponsorship deal for the league and since then the FA have not get any corporate entity to sponsor the league.
Club administrators and chairmen threatened to pull out of the league but the FA have promised to secure a sponsorship deal for the clubs before the league ends.
Speaking to Asempa Sports, he said, “We are still seeking to sponsorship deals for the league because when you have a league that people really patronize it, I think it up to the corporate world to see that if I associate myself with this brand, your products will get the recommended recognition.
“Sponsorship is a two way affair and it also give and take and so we still seeking to find sponsorship for the league”.
The Premier league resumes in mid-week for match day 17.
