Some players from the Arsenal Women performed the popular dance craze “Kakalika” during their 2-0 away win against London City Lionesses on March 15, 2026.
The “Kakalika” song, composed by Ghanaian music duo DopeNation, has gone viral in Ghana, across Africa, and around the world, thrilling fans with its dance challenge.
Chloe Kelly, who was part of the Lionesses side that defeated Ghana in an international friendly, initiated the dance after combining with Smith for the game’s opener in the 15th minute.

Both players celebrated with fans, performing the dance by moving their hands forward and backward while improvising crouched, step-down moves, typically starting with the left foot.
Supporters, enthused by the moment, cheered them on as they showcased their dancing skills.
The brief celebration highlighted how far the “Kakalika” challenge has spread globally, with other footballers also performing the dance after scoring goals.
Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City has also joined the trend, performing the dance to draw attention to the craze and promote the song.
