Wassaman, Deportivo go joint-top in play-offs

Wassaman FC and Deportivo FC recorded victories to go joint-top of the Zone II table in the Division One League promotion play-offs.

The delayed play-offs finally kicked off for all the four sides in the Zone on Saturday.

Ernest Okyere hit a brace while Prince Agyemang also scored to help Wassaman to a 3-1 victory over ten-man Tarkwa United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In the other game at the Tema Park, Kumasi-based Deportivo FC managed a 1-0 win over Dunkwa United.

Gabriel Armah scored the only goal Deportivo as the teams in the Zone go into action again on Wednesday for the sole Premier League place.
