Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso played full swing but could not help his Las Palmas side avoid a 2-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Eibar in the Spanish La Liga.

Wakaso who is expected to join his international team mates this week for Ghana’s international friendly, played full throttle but could do little to aid his team from going down.

A goal from Saul Berjon in the first half and another from Borja Baston on the 64th minute sealed a comprehensive win for Eibar who were the away side.

The defeat means Las Palmas are without a point in their last two games after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Barcelona a week ago.

The Canary club are now 17th on the league table with five points from seven games.
