Wakaso and Twamasi to stop Barca from winning La Liga title

Ghana duo Mubarak Wakaso and Patrick Twumasi will aim to delay Barcelona’s title celebrations when Alaves welcome the La Liga leaders to the Mendizorroza on Tuesday.

It’s all gone downhill for Alaves recently, after a five-game winless La Liga run at home took them out of the European spots when only a few weeks ago a Champions League place looked a possibility.

However, Babazorros may still have a small part to play in the destination of this year’s title.

The trophy is in Barcelona’s hands but Atletico Madrid could make it even easier.

The Catalans face Alaves on Tuesday and Levante on Saturday. Win those matches and win the title.

If they beat the Basques and Atletico lose at Valencia on Wednesday, the title is Barcelona’s.

Or if Atletico lose on Saturday 27 before Barcelona play, the Catalans will be champions.
