Wakaso, Twumasi feature for Alaves in defeat to Barcelona

Ghana duo Mubarak Wakaso and Patrick Twumasi featured for Alaves as Barcelona moved within one win of the La Liga title with a routine 2-0 win at Mendizorroza stadium on Tuesday.

Wakaso lasted the entire duration while Twumasi was brought on in the 78th minute as a replacement for Ely.

Carles Alena broke the deadlock and Suarez netted the second from the spot as the Catalans moved closer to the title.

Barca could be crowned champions on Wednesday if Thomas Partey’s Atletico Madrid lose to Valencia. Failing that, they can win the league in front of their own fans on Saturday when they host Levante.
