Reigning Ghana Premier league champions Wa All Stars FC have commended Aduana Stars for their sportsmanship character after the 0-0 thriller in Dormaa.

The two teams sold a thriller in September last year marred by crowd violence with the Ogya Boys promising hell for the Wa based side on their visit to the Nana Agyemang Badu II park.

The football fraternity anxiously awaited the tension-packed game only for the home side to show unique and outstanding sportsmanship despite dropping points in the match day 9 fixture.

Management board of the Dormaa based side educated their fan based on the hazardous nature of revenge and it’s long term ramifications on the image of the club.

“Football won in Dormaa despite the stalemate at the end of the game.

“I think Aduana Stars did very well before, during and after the game. The fans were educated in the build up to the game.

“It is a plus on the club irrespective of the outcome of the game. To the extend of even making sure we arrive safely in Wa, it was a great day for football in Ghana”, a technical team member said after the game.

A red card to Wa All Stars goal keeper Rashid Seidu highlighted the tension packed game that also included a missed spot kick from Bright Adjei. Wa All Stars next take on Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Wa Park on Sunday in match day 12 of the GHPL season.
