The WAFU Zone B U17 Championship match between Nigeria and Togo has been postponed due to a heavy downpour in Accra.

Nigeria was scheduled to face Togo, while Niger was set to play against Burkina Faso both at the University of Ghana Stadium.

However, the rain rendered the pitch unplayable, necessitating the postponement.

Accra, Ghana's capital, experienced prolonged heavy rainfall on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, which disrupted business activities and caused flooding in various parts of the country.

The matches have thus been rescheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 9 AM.

These games are the final group matches of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.

Meanwhile, Ghana's Black Starlets and Ivory Coast have progressed from the group stages to the semi-finals, awaiting their opponents from Group B.
