Ghana grabbed bronze at the just ended the WAFU (West African Union Football) Nations Cup with a 1-0 win over rivals Burkina Faso on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku found the net in the 42nd minute to give coach Herbert Addo’s charges the third spot.

Ghana completed a hat-trick of victories over the local Stallions after eliminating them from the CHAN qualifiers and a 4-0 mauling in the group stage of the tournament.

The tournament forms part of the team’s preparations for the CHAN finals early next year in Sudan.
