Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has encouraged the Black Starlets to approach their third-place match against Nigeria with confidence.
This encounter is part of the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
The Ghana U17 team will face the Golden Eaglets without their resigned head coach, Laryea Kingston. Despite his absence affecting the team's morale, Okraku has urged the players to have faith in their abilities.
During a visit on Monday evening to the team's camp, the GFA boss advised, "Let's focus on our next opponents, Nigeria. They are beatable. Don't panic when faced with challenges. Stay relaxed and play to your strengths and abilities; you will succeed."
He added, "We must adhere to our training. Let's remain united."
The third-place match between Ghana and Nigeria is set to take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Tuesday. The kickoff is scheduled for 16:00 GMT.
