The budding talented defender is on trial at the Austrian Bundesliga side with the hope of landing a deal, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

West African Football Academy youngster Amankwah Forson has started training with Red Bull Salzburg looking to convince the technical handlers.

Kickgh.com can reveal that the 16-year-old arrived in Austria to begin training with the Bundesliga club last month.

"He [Amankwah Forson] left the shores of Ghana few days ago to train with Red Bull Salzburg," a close source told Kickgh.com

"Red Bull Salzburg will keep him until he turns 18 to sign a professional contract if he convince the coaches at the club during the trial sessions"

The young guardsman was introduced in the last 30 minutes in their 3-2 win over Vorwarts Steyr in a club friendly on Friday evening.

Red Bull Salzburg already have four Ghanaian footballers namely Samuel Tetteh, Gideon Mensah, David Atanga and Majeed Ashimeru who have been loaned out to clubs in Europe.

Forson joined Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy (WAFA SC) in 2018.
