Greater Accra 2nd division outfit Vision FC of Madina, on Sunday beat Impilo Ghana FC 2 – 0 in a friendly arranged to keep the two sides in shape ahead of the new football season.
The game played at the Madina Estate Park, was a very thrilling affair as the two sides tried out some of the players they hope to include on their roaster next season.
The first half was an evenly fought affair as the two sides tried in vain to find an opening as players sought to impress their technical bench.
No goals were scored in the first half, but it was a different story in the second, as Vision FC made the most of their home advantage.
They won a corner kick on the hour mark, and the resultant kick from the right, was powerfully headed home from six yards by central defender Dominic Tawiah Danso to open the scoring.
The goal spurred Vision FC into action, and their hard work paid off when they scored the second goal five minutes later.
It came from a direct free kick taken on the right by left back Hashim Musah who’s in – swinger deceived everybody in the Impilo Ghana FC 18 yard box including the goalkeeper and straight into the net.
The home team held on well to close the match 2 – 0 in their favour and they will continue with their pre season preparations ahead of the start of the Greater Accra 2nd division league.
Impilo Ghana FC are also preparing to participate in the same league, after abandoning the interest in the Eastern regional competition which has been hit with some problems.
