Vipers and Dwarfs, draw in friendly match

Venomous Vipers played a highly spirited game to hold Ebusua Dwarfs to a 2-2 draw in their friendly football match played at Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.

Vipers, parading virtually a new set of players with youthful blend, outplayed and outclassed Dwarfs in the first half and deservedly registered their two goals before half time.

Kicking off under the instruction of class one referee, Jeffery Amamoo, who performed very creditably, Vipers seized the midfield from the blast of the whistle and in the 27th minute, their outside left Kobena Boatemg let go a thunderbolt from outside the penalty area to find the net for Vipers.

The early goal gave Vipers the tonic to reap a goal harvest but their forwards squandered the chances they created.

Vipers continued to dominate with eye-pleasing moves winning applause most of the time from the spectators.

Their forwards- - Isaac Kwafo, Charles Crentsil and Kobena Boateng gave a good account of themselves and it therefore came as no surprise when outside right, Charles Crentsil, raised the tally to 2-0 in the 30th minute.

Down by two goals, Dwarfs resumed the second half strongly and following persistent pressure on Vipers, they succeeded in reducing the tally to 2-1 in the 47th minute through centre forward, Mustapha Mohammed.

Mustapha Mohammed, who played a yeoman's game, brought back the smiles on the faces of their supporters when he levelled up matters with a header to bring the full time scores to 2-2.
