Asante Kotoko ended the first round of the Ghana Premier League on a thumping note with a 4-2 home success against Techiman City FC on Sunday.

Striker Dauda Mohammed scored a hat-trick to put the Porcupine Warriors in firm control but Okyereko Sarpong pulled one back for the debutants.

Edwin Tuffour Frimpong restored Kotoko's three-goal by headed in Eric Donkor's free-kick.

Ebenezer Adjapong reduced the deficit with a cool finish though television replay showed he was offside.
