After helping Aston Villa to Premier League promotion, Ghana’s Albert Adomah will leave the club after his contract expires on the summer.

The 31-year-old, who joined the club during the summer of 2016 have parted ways with the Midlands outfit after they won promotion to the Premier League on Monday.

That means Adomah who is now a free-agent will hope to find a new club for the start of next season.

The versatile attacker won the Players’ Player of the Year last season as Villa reached the play-off finals only to be beaten by Fulham.

This season, they went one better and booked a return to the promised land when they beat Frank Lampard’s Derby County 2-1 at Wembley on Monday.

But boss Dean Smith is keen to lower the average age of his squad and does not see the 31-year-old as part of his future plans.

After being a main goal threat during the previous campaign, Adomah struggled to prove his worth in the attacking third this time around as he failed to cement a regular place in the team.

Adomah scored four goals in 42 appearances for Villa last term, helping them to promotion.
