Rustenburg, June 28, GNA - Head coach of the United States of America (USA), Robert Bradley, has tipped the Black Stars to go as far as the ultimate at the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup.
" Ghana has a strong team and I'm impressed with their performance so far. They have the ability to go far in the competition."
The Stars beat the USA 2-1 after extra time in their round of 16 clash last Saturday in Rustenburg and Bradley has tipped the Black Stars, the lone surviving team from the continent, to go far in the competition. Bradely, 52, said at a press conference that the Black Stars have the ability to go as far as the ultimate and become the first African team to achieve that feat.
The American also described Stars trainer Milovan Rajevac as technically and tactically apt, and can guide the Stars to the historic feat.
"They have a good coach in Milovan Rajevac. He is very tactical and can lead the team to greater feats." Bradley, whose son Michael partnered Landon Donavan at the heart of the USA midfield, however, blamed his side's bluntness in front of goal for their loss to the Black Stars.
"We had a lot of chances, but failed to score."
Ghana will face Uruguay in their quarter final clash on Friday, July 2 at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg.
The Black Stars join the likes of Cameroon and Senegal as the only African teams to have reached the last eight of the world's showpiece soccer event.
