UEFA U19: Ankrah scores as Portugal eliminate Germany

Kumasi-born Asumah Ankrah scored for Portugal in the seesawing 4-3 win over Germany in Group A of the UEFA U19 Championship to eliminate the hosts.

The Willem II Tilburg striker who was handed a starting berth drew Portugal level on 37 minute with a powerful finish.

This was after Phillipp Ochs had rounded off a lovely team move to give Germany 12th-minute lead.

Gonçalo Rodrigues put Portugal ahead from the edge of box on 53 minutes.

Three minutes later Ochs leveled with from the penalty spot for his second of the game.

A last-gasp penalty from Ochs to complete hat-trick came too late for host nation.
