U-23 AFCON: Kwabena Owusu benched in Ghana's semi-final against Ivory Coast

Black Meteors Coach Tanko has announced his starting team for the semi-final match between Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Following his stupendous performance against Mali in the last group game, expectations were that striker Kwabena Owusu would be given a start, however he has been kept on the bench by Tanko.

Owusu’s brace which propelled Ghana to this round were not enough to give him a place in the starting eleven as Tanko has kept faith in the striking duo of Yeboah and Obeng.

A victory today will send Ghana to the final and also the Olympic Games for the first time in fifteen years.

Kwame Baah will keep the post, Kingsley Fobi and Habib Mohammed have also been maintained in defence.

The game is at 2:00pm and will be live on Ghanawebcom.

Below is the full line up;

Kwame Baah (GK) Kingsley Fobi, Edward Sarpong, Zackaria Fuseini, HabibMohammed, Emmanuel Lomotey, Yaw Yeboah, Michael Agbekpornu, Evans Mensah, Robin Polley and Samuel Obeng
