Accra, Oct. 24, GNA - Two Ghanaian Hockey umpires are being considered for higher assignments by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
Richard (Minor) Attipoe, one of the nation's distinguished umpires, has been nominated as the first umpire South of the Sahara to officiate at next year's European Hockey championship while young Haga Laryea is being recommended for consideration for an FIH badge. The two, distinguished themselves creditably at the just-ended African Hockey Cup of Nations in Pretoria, South Africa, compelling the officials to elevate them.
