Turkish side Bursaspor have made Ghana striker Majeed Waris their top priority after missing out on Asamoah Gyan to Kayserispor, according to reports.
Turkish media outlet fotomac reports Bursaspor coach Paul Le Guen, formerly of PSG and Lyon, admires the work of Waris and is pushing to lure him back to the Super Lig either on an outright purchase or via a loan deal.
Waris, currently on the books of Lorient who got relegated from the Ligue 1, moved to France after a failed stint with Trabzonspor during the 2014/15 season.
“We called his manager. We want to either buy or hire him,” Bursaspor President Ali Ay is quoted as saying.
The 25-year-old was bought by Lorient for a little more than 4 million euros two years ago.
Majeed Waris scored 9 goals and made 4 assists in 35 games last season.
