Civic Clubs Urged To Reach Out To Remote Communities

Offinso (Ash), July 11, - Civic Education Clubs (CEC) have been asked to evolve more practical approaches in reaching out to neighbours and remote communities with their messages. Mr Edward Nti Berko, Offinso District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), who made the call, said current methods of lectures and talks should give way to the adopti Mr Berko was addressing members of the Offinso Tea cher Training College (OTC) Civic Education Club at a forum organized by the NCCE to assess the strength and weaknesses of clubs in the distric He urged civic education clubs to as much as possible go beyond educating the people on the constitution and strive to incorporate in their programmes discussions of pertinent and topical issues Mr Berko appealed to the government to sustain efforts at making the fourth republican constitution easily accessible and affordable to the mass of the people.

Mr Owusu Badu, a patron of the OTC civic education club, called on students to enrol as members of the club to broaden their perception about national, international and topical issues.
