Some Ghanaian football fanatics have predicted victory for the Red Devils of Belgium when they lock horns with the Three Lions of England for the third place spot at the Russia 2018 World Cup final on Saturday at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.

Belgium may not have gotten to the promise land as they expected but the Red Devils have won the hearts of many football fans around the World who are ready to put their money behind them to earn the bragging rights as the tournament’s 3rd best team. Already, Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez said, "Belgian football has got a wealth of young talent coming through and in my role, I've got an eye on the Euros in 2020 but we need to focus on that final game, coming back to St Petersburg and facing the opportunity of fighting for that third place.

Belgium came through the quarter-finals by impressively beating Brazil, but they were unable to find the equalizer for Samuel Umtiti’s powerful header which eventually landed their neighbours, France in the finals of the 2018 World Cup.

On the other side, England's hope of reaching their first World Cup final since 1966 was dashed after they lost in extra time to Croatia on Wednesday.

The English fans popular 2018 World Cup cliché of ‘Football is Coming Home’ became a cacophony to the eardrums of many after Croatia’s striker Mario Mandzukic scored the winning goal in the 109th minute of the semi-final to seal a final spot for a country with 4 million population.

However, England are prepared to bow out of the World Cup in pride instead of shame and their manager Gareth Southgate has indicated that "we will want to give a performance of huge pride. There's no question about that. It's always there every time we wear the shirt of our national team, we want to play with pride, we want to play well and win."

Expressing their views, a section of the Ghanaian public who spoke to Ghanaweb TV on the streets of Accra, have concluded that Belgium would earn the staggering £18million at stake for the 3rd placed spot whiles England bag home £16million.
