Trabzonspor in Majeed Waris swap deal

Trabzonspor have shown interest in signing Tunisian midfielder Youssef Msakni, and are ready to swap him with striker Majeed Waris.

The Ghana international has had his year decimated by injury, and recently made his first appearance in a starting line-up for four months.

Indeed, the last time the 23-year-old started for Trabzonspor was on December 29, and a Super Lig defeat to Eskisehirspor. It was in that match that Waris suffered the muscle injury that was to keep him out for the first third of 2015.

And now Trabzonspor have sounded out Qatari club Lekhwiya about the possible swap of Msakni, with the Turkish club eager to make the Tunisian their new signing.

Just last year, Waris is thought to be on Manchester United's radar after assistant manager Ryan Giggs travelled to Turkey to run the rule over him in a Europa League fixture.

He only signed for the Turkish side in September 2014 for £4.2m - but could already be manoeuvring a move away from the Super Lig.
